First Show of The Year

Three thirds and a fifth kicked off Alyssa's show season.

Sandstone Farm

I think this was their second show of the season together. I remember her getting third in Hunter Under Saddle, a big class where she and Bailey competed against adults and more experienced horses.

A Successful Day

This was another day we were really proud of. At Hazelwilde, with Wayne Eubanks as the judge, Alyssa and Bailey earned straight thirds against a field of twelve very nice ponies.

Coming Along!

This was Bailey's first time jumping 2'3" at a show. We were so proud. He marched around like a pro.

Wins of the Day

Alyssa and Bailey never came home empty-handed.

Pretty Pony!

Alyssa always made sure her pony was beautifully groomed and ready to show. Another trainer once told me that she used Alyssa and her pony as an example to her students. She said, "See how nicely braided he is? See how white his socks and saddle pad are?" Alyssa was always ready to 'do business'.

I love this picture because it shows off Alyssa's great equitation.

Trotting on a Loose Rein

Alyssa works Bailey both on the bit and on a loose rein so he learns to work both forward and collected. I also love how Alyssa's shoulders are back yet she has a nice, soft bend in her arm.

A Great Team

This was taken at one of the very first shows Alyssa and I attended together. Bailey was sporting his body clip and one of my braiding jobs.

Alyssa's Nifty Chaps

Shortly after I started teaching Alyssa, I found these cool chaps that I thought would fit her and for the price, I couldn't pass them up! I picked them up as a gift for her and after she had them customed at Journeymen, she had chaps that were all hers!

Last Show of the Year

I just love this picture. I love the twinkle in Bailey's little eye and the confidence and determination in Alyssa's expression. She and Bailey came such a long way in such a short time. I can't wait to see what next year holds for them.
