This was taken at the very first show Leah and I did together. Actually, before there was even an Anyplace Farm.

Shamrock had the THICKEST mane. Our braider asked us to shave have of it so she could get some decent braids in. Without shaving, Shammy would have well over 40 braids and they'd be a little crowded.

This was taken at Rosemount. This was one of those rare occasions where Leah forgot something. At this show, she forgot her hunt coat. We borrowed one from Chelsea Faulkner.

In the Line Up

I love this picture because this was Shammy's shining moment. He was second in the Small Medium Greens. That ended up being a great weekend.

I was keeping my fingers crossed while the judge made his final decision.

Time to Relax

Leah loved Shamrock and always took time to let him relax at shows.

Local Day

Taken back when Local Day was at Paper Chase. This was October 1997. It's my favorite picture of all pictures I have of any horse/rider combination.

Mumbles & Leah

Linda Edwards saw Leah at a show and decided she'd be perfect to ride her treasured pony, C.S. Mumbles. Mumbles was in his late teens, if not early twenties when Leah started showing him.

Champions

Leah won many Champions and Reserves with Mumbles in Pony Hunter and Pleasure Pony.

An All Around Pony

She even rode him in Pony Equitation.

Another successful day.

First show

I am pretty sure this was one of the very first shows the two did together.

Oak Ridge

This was taken at Oak Ridge, which I think is a housing development now.

Getting Ready

This was back in clear harness days. Leah's would never stay tied. I'm being silly, blowing a kiss to my friend Kathy, who took the picture.

Sassy was still a puppy in this picture. Leah and I were trying to stay cool. This was taken at Compass Rose. I giggled when I saw the pager on my belt.

Ohhhhhh I was so bummed when she went off to school! But, like Leah, all Anyplace Farm girls learn how to braid.

First Paycheck

I love working for the CEO. Leah needed a job, I just told my boss I wanted to hire Leah and voila! her first job. She thought I was a nut when I made her take this picture. I think she'll get a kick out of it now. It was awesome working with Leah.

Graduation Day
